User-generated content (or simply UGC) refers to any content created by customers or other brand community members instead of the brand itself. For instance, UGC is when someone buys a product from your store, posts a photo or video, and shares it either on social media or directly with your brand.
While UGC comes in various formats, photos and videos are the most common in 2023. This is because visual content generates more viewer trust and interest, leading to more engagement and positive interactions.
A UGC gallery is a collection of photos and videos you've collected from your brand community.
UGC galleries are visually appealing and interactive. But most importantly, they show your potential customers what your product looks like in real life. By browsing a UGC gallery embedded on your product page, customers can get a clear idea of how other people are experiencing your product and how it will fit into their day-to-day lives.
Shoppers trust other shoppers more than they trust brands. Why? Because online, brands can polish their products to look a certain way, while real customers have no interest in making your product appear in a better light, both figuratively and literally.
UGC is a unique form of social proof because it’s authentic and showcases real experiences by real people. It’s social proof like no other, helping you close the gap between potential customers who are on the fence and those who are ready to buy from you.
Take our customer Pamo Design as an example. They added UGC galleries to their product pages and increased conversions by 12.54%!

Let's take a closer look at a few e-commerce brands that have successfully integrated Cevoid UGC galleries into their product pages.
The Scandinavian interior design brand Nordic Nest has chosen to use Cevoid UGC galleries on their product pages to inspire visitors and provide an effortless shopping experience for their customers.
By showcasing how other customers are using their products, Nordic Nest is able to offer a more personalized shopping experience that resonates with potential customers and encourages them to make a purchase.
With UGC galleries, customers can better understand how a product will look in their own homes, which helps them feel more confident about their purchase decisions.
Additionally, by incorporating shoppable tags, Nordic Nest has made the customer experience even more engaging, allowing users to quickly view product details and make purchases without having to navigate away from the page.
Photowall, a Stockholm-based brand specializing in wall murals and photo wallpapers, has found a clever way to showcase its products and improve the customer experience. By featuring a UGC gallery on its product pages, the company allows potential customers to see how the products look in real homes.
This approach is particularly useful for large products like photo wallpapers, where it can be hard to imagine how they would fit in a specific space. By including customer photos and videos in the UGC gallery, Photowall provides website visitors with inspiring product examples topped with social proof.
Ulvang, a Swedish wool clothing brand, uses UGC galleries to present its cozy and practical products to their website visitors. To enhance the shopping experience for their customers, Ulvang has integrated product hotspots into their UGC pieces, making the shopping experience seamless.
Furthermore, Ulvang’s product page galleries have a clever blend of in-house content. This approach helps showcase Ulvang’s beautiful brand-made product photos and authentic user-generated content from real customers.
Follow the guide below for step-by-step instructions on creating a UGC gallery for your product pages using the Cevoid platform.
First, start by signing up here and following the instructions to install the Cevoid app. It only takes a couple of minutes to set up.
If you get lost, follow the instructions on our Help Center for different e-commerce platforms.
After creating a Cevoid account, it’s time to get the content!
There are a couple of ways you can go about content gathering, depending on whether you plan on collecting fresh content or working with what you already have.
If you’re looking to collect content automatically from Instagram, head to Collect > Instagram > click Connect Instagram and follow the instructions. Once you’re done, you’ll be able to see UGC your brand has been tagged, hashtagged, or mentioned in the Library > Inbox section.
You can also collect UGC through direct uploads. They’re custom links you can share with your community through any channel you like and invite them to upload their UGC.
If you already have content you want to include in your UGC galleries on product pages, you can upload it directly to the Cevoid platform.
Simply navigate to the Library section on the Cevoid platform and click the purple Upload button on the top right corner.
This is where the fun starts! To create your unique UGC gallery for product pages, head to the Showcase > Galleries section on Cevoid and click New gallery in the upper right corner.
Design your new gallery as you desire. A popular UGC gallery choice for product pages is a slider, but you can also choose between a grid, collage, masonry, or style your own through Cevoid API.
Optionally, add an upload button to invite your customers to upload their own experiences with a specific product. And if you like their submission, you can approve it, and the content piece will show up on your product page UGC gallery.
After you’ve styled your gallery and set up your preferences, the next step is to embed it on your product page. To do this, click the Embed gallery button in the top right corner. Then, copy the <div> code and paste it into any coded page where you want your gallery to appear. If you need assistance, check out our Help Center or contact us directly.
